Maintenance Technician job summary
We are looking for a skilled individual to take on a cross site role as our Maintenance Technician.
Working primarily across 2 of our school sites you will be required to work as part of a team ensuring that the school and safe and able to function.
You will be able to work on your own initiative, being vigilant to identify and resolve a variety of maintenance issues including, but not limited to, plumbing repairs, minor repairs, installation of fixtures and fittings and decoration work.
You will be in contact with contractors, students, staff and families so you will need to be polite and engaging at all times. This role is full time, 37 hours a week this does not include a 30 minute unpaid lunch break, all year, your working hours will be 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am – 4:00pm Fridays, there is a level of flexibility in this. We also offer 28 days annual leave.
The role will be primarily based at St Birinus School (Mereland Road, Didcot) and Didcot Girls’ School (Manor Crescent, Didcot). Occasionally, you may be required to support other schools within the trust for a specific task or project; however, such instances would be short in duration and not part of a long-term arrangement.
