What skills and experience we're looking for

Communication is at the heart of everything we do at East Barnet School (EBS). We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Officer who can help tell our story with clarity, creativity and care - someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life, managing multiple tasks with accuracy and confidence, contributing to the positive culture of our vibrant school community.

EBS is a thriving, over-subscribed and diverse north London secondary school with a warm, collaborative ethos. Growth mindset underpins our approach to learning and working, and staff wellbeing, creativity and professional development are central to our culture.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who is organised, digitally confident and comfortable working both independently and as part of a busy team. You will support the Marketing & Communications Manager with internal and external communications and letters, with responsibility for producing weekly bulletins, updating the school website and digital signage, assisting with social media and digital content, and helping create simple design materials for key school events.

You will need strong Microsoft 365 skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign or Photoshop), Canva, or a CMS (such as WordPress) would be a significant advantage. There are also opportunities to contribute to visual displays and the presentation of the school environment.

You will need to be calm, accurate, adaptable and confident managing multiple deadlines independently. The role also involves supporting key school events, including occasional evenings.

If you are excited by the idea of shaping how our community connects and communicates, come and join the team at EBS.
