We are excited to share an opportunity to join our Marketing and Communication Team as a Marketing and Communication Officer. We're looking for a dynamic, creative communicator to play a key role in delivering high-impact internal and external marketing and communications across Ormiston Academies Trust, Ormiston Teacher Training (OTT) and our schools.
In this multi-faceted role, you’ll support strategic campaigns, shape compelling content and help raise our profile through storytelling, digital media and targeted messaging. From staff and pupil recruitment to internal comms and inclusion initiatives, your work will make a real difference.
This is a full-time, year-round remote role with regular travel to Birmingham office at least once a week and occasional travel to schools.

About you
We are looking for a candidate with strong proven experience in communications, PR or in marketing role ideally within the education or public sector. You will have strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with a creative and solution-focused mindset.
Along with proven success of delivering social media strategy, digital content creation and campaigns, project management skills are essential as the role requires management of multiple initiatives to meet deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication skills are critical, with the ability to build trust and influence with a range of stakeholders across the organisation. The ability to use digital, creative and content tools such as Canva, Adobe, Creative Suite will be essential to this role.
