“Strong relationships underpin life at John Blandy… Staff provide a high level of care to each other, parents and the pupils.” (Ofsted November 2021)

We are a thriving, growing village school, located in the Oxfordshire village of Southmoor. We offer a supportive environment to new members of staff in which professional development is valued. We are part of the Faringdon Learning Trust, a nine school multi-academy trust, which was established on 1st April 2012.

We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, forward-thinking teacher who has excellent classroom teaching skills.

Our vision is to grow flourishing learners, who have a sense of belonging to our school community, believe in themselves and others and aim to be as brilliant as they can be. Our approach to life at school is that ‘happy children learn’, and this is evident through our school values and ethos.

You will:

  • Have an enthusiastic and positive approach to teaching and school life.
  • Believe that every child can, and will, succeed.
  • Have the highest aspirations and expectations for every child, the school, and yourself.
  • Demonstrate an ability to develop and promote our school vision and the values-based ethos of our school.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with staff, parents, governors, external agencies and the wider community.
  • Have the passion and vision to work as part of a team in promoting excellence.

We offer you:

  • A happy and positive working environment.
  • Polite, well-behaved and engaged pupils who are motivated to learn.
  • A supportive staff team, made up of several experienced members of staff and a strong SLT.
  • Close links with supportive Governors, the local community and a strong PTA.
  • Excellent opportunities for development and leadership.
  • Fully supported ECT program.
