What skills and experience we're looking for
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate teacher to join our school on a maternity cover basis. You will take on the responsibility of planning and delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring that every child is engaged, challenged, and supported in their learning journey. You will be working closely with our fantastic Year 1 team to maintain the high standards of education for our Year 1 children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in English, Maths, Science, and other subjects for Year 1 pupils, including continuous provision.
- Use assessment data to monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Promote our five core virtues of Respect, Responsibility, Perseverance, Honesty and Kindness.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the school’s curriculum and teaching practices.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and carers regarding pupil progress.
- Uphold high standards of behaviour management, ensuring a respectful and focused classroom atmosphere.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1/EYFS.
- Be passionate about teaching and have the ability to inspire and motivate children.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Be a team player, eager to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
- Have excellent communication skills, both with children and adults.
