What skills and experience we're looking for

The Quinta Primary School is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our amazing team. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be confident in supporting pupils and their families in their school journey, and will work closely with their parallel teacher, support staff, and the wider school community to foster a happy, nurturing environment.

We know that job satisfaction is important, and this position offers the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced and equally passionate parallel teachers . We are looking for someone who:

  • Is committed to becoming a truly excellent teacher;

  • Can teach a broad range of engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve student attainment;

  • Can plan and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard that ensure real learning takes place and students make excellent progress;

  • Has good knowledge and awareness of early reading;

  • Is able to raise attainment and challenge students to achieve their best;

  • Is an effective team member who can contribute positively to the work in the year group team and across the wider school community;

  • Has a positive, cheerful outlook with a good sense of humour;

  • Is able to forge good relationships with students and staff;

  • Is able to work hard and remain calm under pressure.
