Melior Community Academy is a coeducational secondary school located in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. The Academy opened in January 2013 for students aged 11-16. The majority of pupils live in areas containing significant pockets of deprivation characterised by high unemployment, an inadequate employment base, low average income levels and a degraded urban environment. We are a fully inclusive Academy with a distinctively warm ethos and continue to have the highest aspirations for, and expectations of, our students. Melior Community Academy has an exceptionally well-qualified, talented, experienced and enthusiastic team of staff. Our staff have the highest expectations of themselves as professionals as well as of the students they will be teaching. Learning is at the heart of everything that we do. High achievement is expected and success celebrated. At Melior you can expect a culture of ‘child centeredness’, challenge and high expectations in order to help students reach their full potential.
