Job Title: Meal Time Assistant Permanent

Required from September 2025

Grade: A2

Location: Christow Community Primary School

Working Pattern: 12.05pm - 1.05pm

Total 5 hours per week

38 weeks per year

£2740 pro rata per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to join our thriving primary school as it continues to grow and develop. We are looking for an individual to join our friendly, dedicated and hard-working team as a Meal Time Assistant.

The successful candidate will support our pupils during lunch times, ensuring a safe, happy and positive dining experience. You will help to create a welcoming and fun atmosphere, encouraging good table manners and positive play in the playground.

We are seeking someone who:

  • is patient, caring and approachable
  • has a good sense of humour and enjoys working with young children
  • can encourage positive play and friendships
  • is flexible, enthusiastic and committed
  • can work well both independently and as part of a team

Experience of working with children is desirable, and an understanding of child development and behaviour would be an advantage. Excellent communication skills with both children and adults are important.
