Meal Time Assistant job summary
Hours of work: 11.30am - 1.15pm (3hours 45 minutes per week for 38 weeks per year)
Salary: Grade B, pro rata £2,013 for hours and weeks stated

Start date: As soon as possible following interview and completion of satisfactory recruitment checks/references.
A Meal Time Assistant will be part of a team that is responsible for supervising pupils and the school’s premises during the midday break (lunchtime) to ensure that the break runs effectively and that the safety and welfare of pupils is maintained.
The successful candidates will:
- Be committed to providing enriched, fun activities for our children at lunchtimes.
- Use positive behaviour management strategies to make lunchtimes enjoyable and safe for our pupils
- Be able to support children in developing good eating habits, monitoring those who don’ eat and reporting any concerns to the class teacher.
- Have the skills and sensitivity to deal with all members of our school community.
- Follow any directions from class teachers on supporting specific pupils with challenging behaviour.
