Meal Time Assistant job summary
Yealmpton Primary School is a small primary located in a village on the outskirts of Plymouth. Our school ethos is based on the Be the Best You Can Be - the BEST version of you! We strive to achieve high standards in everything that we do. We are seeking to appoint a mealtime assistant to be part of the lunchtime supervision team. The post involves managing the setting up of the eating area at the school in an organised manner, supervising and ensuring the safety of all children during the lunchtime period in the playground. The ideal candidate must be vigilant and possess energy and enthusiasm to create and lead fun playtime sessions at the school.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will receive training to ensure you are equipped with the knowledge of safeguarding procedures within a primary school environment.
A First Aid qualification is desirable as is experience of working with children.
This role requires a DBS disclosure.
