Media & Performing Arts Technician job summary

We currently have a new opportunity for a dynamic and flexible Media & Performing Arts Technician to join our team.

Job overview

To support the Performing Arts Department by providing technical service including sound production and engineering, rigging, focusing and programming of lighting systems and use of audio-visual equipment. To also support the creation and administration of the school’s media output including social media, photography and videography.

The right candidate will have:


  • Minimum GCSE or equivalent in English and mathematics
  • Qualifications in performing arts or media is desirable 
  • Experience of technical work within a theatre, entertainment or school environment
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in IT, media technology, digital film recording/editing equipment, including Apple Mac/PC computers, GarageBand, photography equipment, projector setup, presentations, and specific theatre industry design programmes
