Medical Administrator and EVC job summary
Stowmarket High School has an exciting future. We are looking to appoint a meticulous and conscientious Medical Administrator to take responsibility for providing school medical and pastoral administration. The role will involve organising and recording medication for students with known medical conditions and healthcare plans, as well as administering regular medications. You will be responsible for maintaining the first aid records, treating small injuries and giving first aid where necessary as well as coordinating the schools trained first aiders.
The second element to this role is to act as the schools Educational Visits Coordinator, overseeing and planning, costing and risk assessing all school trips using EVOLVE.
The hours of work in this post are 35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

The successful candidate will:
- Have a current first aid certificate or a recently expired one and a willingness to refresh
- Have excellent organisational skills
- Be meticulous with good attention to detail
- Be calm under pressure, yet commanding to take control of situations
- Be flexible and a good multitasker
- Have the ability to be empathetic but able to maintain and uphold school policies
- Be wholly dedicated to safeguarding pupils.

Stowmarket High School is situated in picturesque mid Suffolk with excellent commuter links to Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich. We are an inclusive 11 – 18 Academy and part of Waveney Valley Academies Trust. 6th Form is currently not being offered. Construction of a new school is now complete on our current site and we have moved into our new state of the art school.
