Medical Welfare Assistant job summary

School Medical Welfare Assistant

Start date: Immediate

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, plus one other day), 9am until 3.30pm with a thirty-minute break. 18 hours per week in total

Term-time only (38 weeks plus two INSET days)

Grade: H3 (Points 5-6)

Full-time equivalent salary: £25,496-£25,889pa

Paid salary reflecting actual hours/weeks: £10,446 - £10,627pa

Our Medical Welfare Assistant works alongside our School Office and Reception Team to deliver First Aid and associated administrative tasks. The role might appeal to those from a nursing background, but this is by no means a requirement.

Our OFSTED grading has been confirmed as Outstanding (November 2023) and the inspection team have written that:

‘Staff say that they are very well supported. Staff feel valued. They have high praise for how leaders look after the staff’s well-being and their workload.’

‘A school of exceptional quality.’
