Mental Health Support Worker job summary
At Etone College we are looking for a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Support Worker to join our pastoral team and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated mental health practitioner with a strong foundation in therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles.
To be successfully shortlisted for this role, you must:
- Hold an appropriate qualification that enables practice as a mental health professional (e.g., degree or postgraduate degree in Psychology, Counselling, Mental Health, Health & Wellbeing, or a related field).
- Have experience working with children and young people in a mental health or wellbeing setting.
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to apply CBT principles in a practical and supportive way.
- Be registered with HCPC or BACP (Health and Care Professions Council or British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive and empathetic approach.
