Mentor & Inclusion Supervisor job summary
Our school was highlighted by Ofsted as being ‘warm, kind and caring’. We pride ourselves on the pastoral work we do to support our students. Part of our rich provision of support is to provide mentoring to help individual students with their well-being and to assist them in managing the different pressures in their lives. Group circle time sessions are also run each week to provide a safe space for children to talk and share.
The inclusion room provides a quiet space for students to be assigned to reflect on their conduct and to complete their work between 1 and 5 days in keeping with our behaviour policy, and part of this role will be to join the rota of staff supervision of the room. The pastoral team is large and has a wealth of experience. The newly appointed mentor will be warmly welcomed and will feel part of a team delivering rewarding work knowing that a key difference is being made to children’s and young people’s lives.
Learning at St Claudine’s is rooted in the Gospel values in a supportive and nurturing community. Even though we are a Catholic School, it is not a requirement to be Catholic and our international community welcomes staff and students of all faiths and none.
As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children you will be required to undertake a DBS check.
Further details of this post and about the school are available on the school website: http://www.stclaudines.co.uk/joining-us/vacancies/
Commitment to safeguarding
St Claudine’s is committed to the safeguarding of young people and all staff are required to undergo a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
