Midday Assistant job summary
Briscoe Primary School & Nursery are seeking an enthusiastic, caring Midday Assistant who enjoys working with children to join their friendly, supportive team.
As Midday Assistant you will help to maintain a safe, happy and secure environment during lunchtime for our lovely children.

Successful applicants will:
- Supervise children in the lunch hall
- Encourage imaginative play outside (and indoors when it's raining)
- Ensure the good behaviour of pupils
- Administer first aid

The Atrium at HEARTS Academy Trust - an early intervention, enhanced provision for children with SEMH challenges
HEARTS Academy Trust remain immensely proud of the work of The Atrium – our enhanced ‘partnership’ provision located in the grounds of Briscoe primary School & Nursery, in Basildon, Essex. Established in 2018, The Atrium works to inspire hope and positivity in pupils and families who have experienced significant challenges and/or social and emotional trauma.
Briscoe Primary School & Nursery and The Atrium are part of the HEARTS Academy Trust, a Trust of local schools that has the values of happiness, equity, achievement, resilience, truth and spirituality. The Trust is truly innovative and rewards outstanding staff for outstanding outcomes. The school calendar consists of 184 days contact time with pupils, 5 non-pupil days and the equivalent of 6 days of high quality continuous professional development.
