Midday Assistant job summary

To help us with this, we are looking to appoint a Midday Assistant to join our team and be responsible for maintaining the safety, welfare and good conduct of the students during the lunch break between the morning and afternoon teaching sessions.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be professional, approachable and caring.
  • Have first aid knowledge - preferred but not essential.
  • Enjoy working with young people - experience preferred but not essential
  • Share our passion and commitment to building great learning communities for our students.
  • Be able to work as part of a team

The successful candidate will become part of an oversubscribed, successful girls’ school for 11 to 18 year-olds, with an ethos rooted in female empowerment, and dedicated colleagues who strive for excellence. The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls is a non-denominational academy secondary school and sixth form for girls aged between 11 and 18. It is located in Romford in the borough of Havering, London. The number of pupils is approximately 1,300.

The school was established in 1906 by Frances Bardsley with the aim of providing free education to the local girls. Formerly across two different sites until 2003, it became The Frances Bardsley School for Girls in 1972 and converted to academy status in 2012.
