Midday Assistant job summary

Midday Assistant required for The Wickford Church of England School

Hours: 5 hours per week. Monday to Friday

Working weeks: Term time only (38 weeks per year)

Start date: September 2025

The Wickford Church of England School are seeking an enthusiastic, caring Midday Assistant who enjoys working with children to join their friendly, supportive team.

As Midday Assistant you will help to maintain a safe, happy and secure environment during lunchtime for our lovely children.

Successful applicants will:

  • Supervise children in the lunch hall
  • Encourage imaginative play outside (and indoors when it's raining)
  • Ensure the good behaviour of pupils
  • Administer first aid
