Midday Supervisor job summary

Downley Site, Term time (38 weeks per year)

INSET days to be worked, as needed – claimed as overtime

Hours: 20 hours per week – 10am – 2:00pm

Bucks Pay Range 1b 6-10 FTE: £23,996 - £24,950 per annum

Actual pay £10,726 - £11,152 per annum

Chiltern Wood School is an SEN school supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. Our Downley site caters for pupils who have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties or Severe Learning Difficulties with additional physical and sensory needs. We pride ourselves on building positive relationships with our pupils, their families and supporting professionals to enable communication, physical, social and emotional development for each individual.

We have extensive facilities on site to support this development and provide learning opportunities through a variety of experiences, lessons and routines.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Midday Supervisor to join our team at Downley in September 2025. You will be well supported by experienced and welcoming staff within a well-run, hard-working school which holds as its core value the wellbeing of its pupils, parents and staff.

If you are interested in learning how to contribute purposefully to the educational and social development of our pupils and you feel you have the qualities to successfully attend to their welfare and emotional needs, we warmly invite you to arrange a tour of our school. You will have the opportunity to observe our classes and meet with our staff for informal discussion about the post.

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
