What You'll Be Doing: Your Impact

This role is about much more than just supervising—it's about ensuring every child feels cared for and has a happy, constructive break. 

Dining Hall Champion:

• Create a positive atmosphere by assisting children with food (opening packets, cutting items) and encouraging good table manners and healthy eating. 
• Ensure the dining area is ready for service and safely maintained (setting up, clearing spills, wiping down tables). 

Playground & Safety Leader:

• Actively supervise pupils in the playground, promoting safe and inclusive games and supporting organised play activities. 
• Resolve minor conflicts with patience and fairness, reporting serious incidents promptly. 
• Manage indoor 'wet play' activities when weather requires it. 

Welfare & Care:

• Act as the first point of contact for minor injuries, referring to a first aider if needed. 
• Actively monitor children with specific allergies or dietary needs to ensure their safety. 
• Maintain continuous vigilance to ensure all children remain safely within the school's designated premises.

• Exceptional patience, a calm demeanour under pressure, and a positive approach to behaviour management. 
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, staff, and parents. 
• A reliable team player who can follow instructions and use initiative.

We are seeking to appoint a teacher for a maternity leave. Start date will be 13/01/25 and end date will be end of the Summer term 2025. However, for the correct candidate this will be extended until 16/12/25.Ideally the candidate would also be willing to be SENCO during this time, but this is not necessary.
