This is a key role within the school, helping to ensure that all children have a safe, enjoyable and positive experience during their lunchtime break.
As a Midday Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children during lunchtime in the dining hall, helping them to make healthy choices, use good table manners and enjoy a calm, pleasant mealtime experience.
- Supervising children on the playground, encouraging safe and inclusive play, and helping to organise or facilitate games and activities that promote cooperation and friendship.
- Promoting positive behaviour, modelling kindness and respect, using restorative approaches where appropriate, and helping children to develop social skills.
- Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring the welfare of all pupils at all times and responding promptly to any incidents or concerns.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, patient and reliable, with the ability to use their initiative and also work effectively as part of a close knit, supportive team. A genuine enjoyment of working with children and helping them flourish is essential.
Full training, including safeguarding, behaviour support and first aid, will be provided, and you will be welcomed into a caring school community where every member of staff plays an important role in the children’s day.
