Challney High School for Boys is a welcoming environment where pupils and staff demonstrate respect for all.  We aspire for all of our children to succeed and we have high expectations for everyone.  The school is situated in the Challney Ward, very close to the L&D hospital and Junction 11 of the M1 and serves a multi-ethnic community.  We currently have 1200 pupils on roll and the majority are of Pakistani or Bengali origin.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to be part of our lunchtime team. Duties will be carried out in the dinner hall. You will need to be confident, able to act on your initiative, patient and enjoy working with children.

The hours of work are:  Monday to Friday: 12:30 to 14.30; which totals 10 hours per week, 38 weeks a year. The actual (pro rata) salary for 10 hours is £4,664 (£10.60 per hour).

Visits to the school are positively welcomed and if you would like to visit, please phone the school office to arrange a suitable time. Take a look at our website and Twitter account for more information about us.

You may be asked to explain any gaps or issues arising from the information you have provided and/or from employment references.  Issues relating to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children will be explored at interview.
