Midday Supervisor job summary

11.45- 1.15pm Thursda to Friday (3 hours per week)

We are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisor at Olney Infant Academy. The role of the Midday Supervisor is rewarding and varied. It will include some of the following:

  • Supervise activities and maintain the health, safety, welfare, good conduct and safeguarding of pupils during the midday break, having regard to special or additional needs.
  • Assist in the supervision of other activities during the midday break, including setting out and storing equipment
  • Encourage pupils to eat healthy meals.
  • Supervising play and engaging with children in their play.
  • Clean up spillages of food or liquid during meal service
  • Wipe down tables and clean dining areas between meals
  • Report incidents in line with school policy
  • Providing first aid (when qualified)

This role should involves making lunchtime a positive and happy experience for children, providing a safe and caring environment for all and ensuring all activities are fun. The successful candidate will have a friendly disposition with empathy for individual children’s needs. You will be hardworking, flexible, have a positive attitude and a sense of humour.
