Midday Supervisor job summary
Sandwich Infant School is a welcoming, community-focused school for children aged 5-7, where we pride ourselves on our warm, inclusive ethos and strong relationships with families.
We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our dedicated team and help ensure that lunchtimes are safe, enjoyable and well-managed for all pupils.
This post is for 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12pm-1pm, term time only (38 weeks).
As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour across the school site.
This will include supervising children in the dining hall and playground, encouraging social interaction and supporting pupils to have a positive lunchtime experience.
Key responsibilities
Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground and school premises
Promote good behaviour, safety and wellbeing at all times
Encourage positive play, social skills and good manners
Assist pupils as needed during lunchtime routines
Deal with minor incidents and report concerns to appropriate staff
Support the school’s safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety policies
Midday Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that lunchtime is a safe, orderly and enjoyable period, acting as a positive role model for pupils.
