Fairhaven Primary School at South Walsham would like an additional Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.
We are looking for a someone who:
- is calm, caring and patient
- enjoys the company of children and getting to know them well
- is ready to play games
- is a good role model for the children
- is fair, consistent and supports school policies
- is flexible and has a good sense of humour
The role is varied and includes:
- setting up, cleaning and clearing away tables and benches
- helping serve the lunches and encouraging the children to eat well and develop good eating habits
- supporting children when things go wrong
- managing and supervising indoor and outdoor play
We would like someone who can start as soon as possible to work two shifts a week. These shifts run between 11.45 and 1 pm or 12.30 and 1.45pm. The days are to be decided. Applicants will need their own transport due to our rural location and lack of public transport. The hourly rate of pay is £12.65 per hour. This is a term time only contract. From time to time, there will also be the opportunity for extra hours to cover absence.
