Keeping our children safe and happy is essential. Kirby Hill C of E Primary School are looking to appoint a hardworking Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our ambitious and supportive staff team, starting in September.

Monday – Friday 11.45am - 12.45pm (5 hrs/week) TTO

MSAs work alongside members of the staff team to secure a caring and safe environment for pupils during the midday break.

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Midday Supervisory Assistant to the staffteam who will help secure a caring and safe environment for pupils during their lunch hour whilst ensuring high levels of hygiene are maintained at all times.

Job Description:

As a Midday Supervisory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and secureenvironment for children during their lunch break. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising children during lunch both indoors and outdoors
  • Monitoring pupil behaviour to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Assisting children with their lunch needs and promoting good table manners.
  • Organising and facilitating playground activities.
  • Providing first aid assistance when necessary.
  • Reporting any incidents or concerns to the appropriate school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage with children during lunchtime and .
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and conflict resolution.
  • Support children in following school rules and procedures.
  • Assist in the setup and clean up of lunch areas.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
  • Basic first aid knowledge is a plus.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
