We are looking for:

An enthusiastic individual to work alongside members of our staff team to support our children at lunchtimes. Duties will include supervising in the diner and playground, securing a caring and safe environment for pupils.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with children, be a team player, want to make our children’s lunchtimes a happy experience and be committed to inclusion in all aspects of school life. Experience of working in a school environment is desirable, along with an ability to communicate with confidence and compassion.

Job role:

  • Provide supervision to children, inside and out, during the lunchtime break.
  • Assist with the removal of food and equipment once pupils have eaten their lunch.
  • Deal with minor first aid incidents; follow appropriate procedures for recording and reporting.
  • Assist in the implementation of appropriate behaviour management strategies as required
  • Observe a child or young person’s behaviour, understand its context, and notice any unexpected changes and report any inappropriate behaviour to the correct member of staff.
  • Resolve minor disputes between pupils.
  • Assist in the supervision of other activities during the midday break, including setting out and storing equipment.
