What skills and experience we're looking for

Mayfield School Chestnut Centre is based in Brixham and educates primary aged pupils withsocial, emotional and mental health difficulties and associated challenging behaviour.

We are looking for a candidate who is keen, motivated and able to work as part of a team to join us as a Mealtime Assistant.

This role will include driving a short way, collecting cooked food and bringing it to school. Serving food to children. Cleaning and tidying the kitchen area after service. You will need to have your own transport for this role.

The role is for 1 and half hours a day, 7.5 hours a week, term time only. 11.30 am to 1.00 pm

You will provide support to pupils and teachers over the lunch-time period, escorting pupils to their class/playground areas. Knowledge of Special Educational Needs and or working with children who demonstrate challenging behaviour, is highly desirable., but not essential..

At Mayfield Chestnut in Brixham we have 32 Primary aged pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties arranged in 6 classes.
