Music Support Officer job summary

We are seeking a Music Support Officer to help ensure the smooth running of our Music Department. The ideal candidate will act as the primary liaison between peripatetic staff, parents, students and school staff. They will carry out administrative duties, such as timetable adjustments, updating lesson registers, setting up conferences, Lead School administration, and will support the Head of Department with performance recordings, setting up music clubs and promoting the department in the local community. There will also be a practical element, such as managing and maintaining spare instruments, assisting with setting up venues for performances and stewarding students to their ABRSM exams.

The position is for 20 hours per week, term time plus one week, Monday to Friday with a 9am start each day. The salary range for this position (H4 6-9) will be £25,989 to £27,254 (pro-rata) depending on experience, plus outer fringe. Please note that timings and hours can have an element of flexibility for the right candidate and should be discussed at interview.
