Main purpose of role

We are looking for an inspirational and innovative teacher to teach Music at the school with a real passion for ensuring engagement in learning for all students, together with an interest in playing a part in the creation of our very popular school performances.

There is also the possibility for the right candidate to become Subject Leader for the Music Department on a fixed-term basis.

What skills / experience are required

The successful candidate must have a passion about raising levels of engagement and achievement and want to make a positive difference on their students by going the extra mile. They will be a musician who is eager to explore a range of styles and skills with their students on a variety of live instruments and through music technology. Music and Music Technology are popular subjects across all key stages (3-5) and the successful candidate will have experience of teaching at a range of levels.

They will have the desire and enthusiasm to play an active and collaborative role in contributing to a strong culture of sharing best practices, resources, and ideas, and have the interpersonal and leadership skills needed to inspire and motivate both colleagues and students alike.
