Description of the role:
Teach engaging, knowledge-rich, practical music lessons from Reception age through to Year 4
Continue to develop the music curriculum to ensure it is well-planned, well-sequenced, meets the needs of all pupils and fosters a love of music in pupils.
Conduct regular assessments of the curriculum levels achieved by children for music. Use these assessments to inform planning. Provide assessment levels to class teachers for reporting to parents
Work closely with class teachers to ensure that the needs of individual pupils are met, including being aware of any SEND needs.

Promoting and supporting individual music tuition, working with Suffolk County Music Service tutors and other external music tutors.
Providing a variety of opportunities for performance throughout the academic year
Actively seeking and taking opportunities to give our children musical experiences, whether this is through local arts and music organisations, other schools or opportunities further afield.
Leading a school choir or supporting the leadership of a school choir
Leading a school orchestra or supporting the leadership of a school orchestra
