TEACHER OF MUSIC
Full time, required from Easter 2020
(fixed term maternity cover until May half term 2021)

Pay scale:SLT1-9 (Teachers Main Payscale equivalent) currently £24,370-£41,858 per annum.

We are well resourced and have a focus on staff development and training. The successful candidate would join a strong and vibrant department. We welcome you to come and visit our school and meet the team.

The successful candidate will:

• be an enthusiastic practitioner of Music;
• have strength in composition and performance, preferably with experience as a piano accompanist and singer;
• have outstanding interpersonal skills;
• be relentless in their commitment to the success of all those that they teach
• be a team player who thrives on working collaboratively with colleagues

•A passion for teaching their subject with a strong vision of how to engage students in their learning and a record of success.
•Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of pedagogy in the curriculum area .
•The ability to motivate, enthuse and inspire colleagues and students, and win the confidence of colleagues, parents and other stakeholders.
•The ability to think strategically with imagination, vision, creativity and originality to improve outcomes for students.
•Experience of planning, monitoring and evaluating an area of a schools work.
•An understanding on how data can be used to support student progress and meet ambitious curriculum area and Academy outcomes.
•Well developed emotional intelligence and the ability to get people on board easily.
•Experience in developing colleagues e.g. through mentoring, coaching or providing CPD.
•A positive attitude, flexible approach and excellent communication skills.
