MYP Exams Coordinator job summary

Located in Culham, Oxfordshire, Europa School UK is seeking a dedicated and organised MYP Exams Coordinator & KS3/4 Administrative Support to join our vibrant team. This part-time role, averaging 7.5 hours per week over 37 weeks a year, offers flexibility outside of exam periods.

Key Responsibilities:

As the MYP Exams Coordinator, you will work closely with the Deputy Heads of Secondary to oversee the MYP e-Assessments process. This includes:

  • Liaising with the SENCO for exam access arrangements and arranging all exams, including orals.
  • Registering students on exam systems and creating invigilation timetables.
  • Coordinating with invigilators and IT for exam setup, and overseeing exam execution.
  • Managing the dissemination of results in early August and liaising with parents.
  • Maintaining and updating examination-related policies and handling post-results services.

In your role as KS3/4 Administrative Support, you will provide essential executive PA services to the Deputy Heads of Secondary, which involve:

  • Managing correspondence, scheduling, and organising meetings for the Deputy Heads.
  • Producing reports and handling confidential materials.
  • Assisting in designing presentations and updating school policies.
  • Conducting research tasks and coordinating central school documents.

Person Specification:

We are looking for a candidate with excellent organisational and planning skills, strong interpersonal and communication abilities, and a commitment to the bilingual and multicultural ethos of the school. While no formal qualifications are required, the ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality is essential.

Europa School UK a UK state school offering a bilingual education from four to 18 culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

September 2017 saw ESUK open the Secondary School, the final stage of a phased opening which began in 2012 with key stage 1. We offer a multilingual and multicultural education, with primary children taught in English and also either German, French or Spanish via full immersion and humanities taught in the second language throughout the secondary phase. Other than language our emphasis is on science, well suited to the employment opportunities in Oxfordshire. Europa School inherits from its European School predecessor a history of preparing students for outstanding success at universities in the UK, throughout Europe and beyond.

The primary has three form entry and is consistently oversubscribed. We received a good rating from Ofsted.

The centrepiece of the Secondary School is the beautiful grade-II listed buildings of Culham College which has hosted a European School since 1978 and is in the process of receiving a multimillion pound facelift. The school is set in rural Oxfordshire but near Oxford and Abingdon. There is onsite parking and good cycle access.
