National Mathematics & Physics SCITT Maths Hub Subject Lead & Teacher (Chiltern Hub) job summary

The National Mathematics & Physics SCITT is a School Centred Initial Teacher Training provider, offering Mathematics and Physics subject specialist teacher training.
The SCITT is led by, and based at, Wycombe High School, and our programme is delivered via an expanding network of the very best state and independent schools across the country.
An exciting vacancy has arisen for a proactive and enthusiastic Maths Hub Subject Lead (Chiltern Hub). We welcome applications from experienced Mathematics leaders seeking to expand their teaching and leadership impact.
For 1.5 days per week, the successful candidate will oversee and lead the Mathematics programme in the NMAP SCITT Chiltern Hub, delivering training, supporting trainees and monitoring the delivery, management and quality of the school-based training programme and provision provided by partner establishments.
For the remaining 3.5 days of the week, the successful applicant will teach Mathematics at Wycombe High School, remaining at the cutting edge of Mathematics pedagogy. He/she will also participate in the recruitment of trainees in accordance with NMAP SCITT and Safer Recruitment procedures.

Wycombe High School is a girls’ selective state academy school with 1304 students on roll, of whom around 400 are in the Sixth Form. Each year 192 girls are admitted into Year 7. All students are assigned to a vertical tutor group consisting of about 21 students; usually three students from each year. group There are six houses with 10 tutor groups in each house. Our school is part of the Wycombe High School Academies Trust. The school has educated girls of High Wycombe for over a hundred years and is very highly regarded in the local and wider community.
