Newton Ferrers CE Primary School - Teaching Assistant, 9.5 hrs per week job summary
The First Federation Trust, a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools across Devon and Dorset, are looking to recruit a temporary Teaching Assistant at Newton Ferrers CE Primary, a friendly village school, located just off the A38 in Devon. The school provides a secure, nurturing environment with a family atmosphere where the children come first and has an excellent partnership with parents/carers and the local community.
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for 9.5hours per week, ideally on Thursday and Friday mornings. You will be supporting class teachers across the school with interventions which will also include an element of supporting our SEND children.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher across all areas of the curriculum.
- To deliver targeted interventions.
- To promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.
- To work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school.
- You will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion.
Experience of working with SEND children and children with behavioural difficulties would be advantageous .This role is fixed term until 31 August 2026.
