We are looking for a suitably qualified Numeracy Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to support the teaching and learning of our students. You will plan and deliver structured numeracy interventions to ensure students ‘catch up’ to their peers. You will be confident, enthusiastic and able to demonstrate your ability to plan and deliver high impact intervention lessons.
Duties will include:
To deliver the Catch-Up Numeracy Programme to students who find numeracy difficult.
To work alongside the Maths teachers providing 1:1 or small group support in lessons to close the gap.
Track, monitor and evaluate the intervention provision for targeted students, adopting and adapting improvement
strategies as required.
Implement individual support for pupils based on their needs and circumstances, e.g. deliver support in line with a pupil’s Individual Education/Personal Education Support Plans and Pastoral Support Programmes.
Successful candidates will:
Possess good organisational, ICT, numeracy, communication skills
Have appropriate academic qualifications- possess or be willing to obtain HLTA status as soon as possible after appointment and support will be given were applicable.
