What skills and experience we're looking for

Truro Learning Academy is looking for a nurturing, progressive and aspirational Nursery Assistant to support classes and individuals with special educational needs from age 2 and up. The position is for 30 hours per week, term time plus two INSET days on a fixed term basis until 31st August 2026. Visits to the school are encouraged and can be arranged by contacting the school directly on 01872 277635.

An Ideal Candidate will be:

  • An inclusive and supportive practitioner with the courage to try new ideas.
  • A team player who can work well alone, using their initiative but also take direction.
  • Able to motivate, challenge and inspire pupils to have a love of learning and to achieve their best.
  • An excellent communicator with effective interpersonal and organisational skills.
