Nursery Assistant job summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
The directors would like to appoint a member of staff to the role of early years assistant to work in our nursery, Bright Stars. The successful applicant will have a good knowledge of how to support early years children.
This is a full time post, all year around in our nursery Bright Stars which has an age range from 9 months - 4 years. The hours will be generally from 8am - 4pm but this may change according to the needs of our families.
The directors would like to appoint a member of staff to the role of early years assistant to work in our nursery, Bright Stars. The successful applicant will have a good knowledge of how to support early years children.
We are looking for a member of staff who is a good team player and clear of how to develop children’s self-regulation under the guidance of the managers. The candidate will have the ability to form positive relationships with children quickly. Preferably someone who has already had experience of working in the early years sector with a range of ages. Bright Stars Plymouth CIC are based on the Yealmpstone Farm Primary site. We are also involved with the Early Years Stronger Practice Hub and part of the IDEAL Alliance so can provide lots of professional development opportunities.
Level 2 Early Years childcare is essential. Further qualifications are desirable.
Safeguarding is a very important aspect of Bright Stars Nursery. All applicants will be expected to have a full DBS check and disclose any issues which may be relevant to them working in a school.
