We are looking for a passionate, kind, ambitious, and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant/Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team at Suffield Park Nursery in Cromer.
The Role:
Maternity Cover with Guaranteed Hours (ASAP until Dec 2026)
This is a fixed-term maternity cover position starting AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and running until December 18th, 2026, in the first instance.
The standard full-time working pattern for this role is 34.74 average hours per week (working 37.5 hours per week during term time and reduced hours during school holidays).
Hours of work
Term Time - 07:45-16:00 (7.5 hours per day), Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)
Holidays – 08:00-13:30 (13:15 Wednesday’s), 5.25-5.5 hours per day (27.5 hours per week)

Qualifications & Pay:
Level 3 (or above) £13.26 - £13.47 per hour (Scale D)
Level 2 or unqualified (working towards a qualification) £13.05 per hour (Scale C)
We welcome applicants who hold a relevant Level 3 or 2 qualification. We will also happily consider those currently working towards or hoping to gain a relevant qualification.
Experience/Skills that would be beneficial: Please see the Job Descriptions. Knowledge of Child Development and experience in supporting children’s learning. Awareness of ‘Tapestry’ and experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
