Then we would like to hear from you….

Hethersett Woodside Primary and Nursery School is seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic, positive Nursery Assistant to join our large team.

Hethersett Woodside has recently grown to full primary status, from its roots as a small infant school. Having recently moved into a brand new, state of the art building, the school has been gradually growing for a number of years and now is at capacity; with children from Nursery to year 6.

This is a rare opportunity to join our fabulous team.

In our most recent Ofsted, our Early Years was recognised as ‘Good’ with many strengths praised. Our nursery is newly, purpose built, with excellent facilities and resources to support our young learners.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner to work as a Nursery Assistant in our Nursery with children aged 2-4 years. Hours of work, 8.30am - 1.30pm, Monday to Friday.

We hope to recruit an outstanding candidate who has:

  • Knowledge and understanding of child development
  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum would be an advantage
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to work with young children
  • Past experience of, or a desire to work with children who are displaying emerging and significant SEND
  • Ability to build relationships and to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A friendly, flexible and patient manner
  • A positive approach to learning and commitment to personal CPD

Applications from Level 2 Early Years qualified staff are encouraged, but this is not an essential criteria. We encourage and fully support staff development and training. We will consider applications from candidates wishing to work on a part time basis, providing we are able to facilitate a full time appointment.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to contact Danielle Gray (Lower Phase Lead) to arrange a visit or to talk more about the role - office@hethersettwoodside.org.uk or 01603 810674.

Like what you hear? We look forward to meeting you!
