This is a permanent post to begin on 1 September 2025 within our now well-established school-based Nursery. Our Nursery is a 26-place setting with each session educating a minimum of 21 3-year-old children, with the remaining 5 places set aside for children age 2 and in the term that they turn 3 years of age. This post is suitable for teachers in the early stages of their career as well as experienced EYFS teachers.
If you think you could be successful as a teacher within our school team, you will be someone who:
- Is passionate about teaching and enjoys motivating and inspiring our youngest children to promote a strong learning culture and appetite in your Nursery classroom.
- Can fully align with the vision and values of our school so that your work with us ensures that everyone in the community: belongs, believes, thrives and achieves, rooted within the Christian context of our school.
- Has extensive experience of effectively developing young children’s speech and language through intervention programs, integrating SALT approaches, and planning communication rich learning experiences for all children.
- Prioritises positive working relationships with children and their families and with your professional colleagues, both within our school as well as within the range of other professional agencies we work in partnership with.
- Is an excellent class teacher with exemplary experience (either through QTS training or as an experienced teacher) in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Has excellent subject knowledge as well as a strong skillset to develop your own potential including your leadership capacity.
- Will work independently with initiative and as part of a team towards our shared goals and school vision.
- Maintains professionalism, discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Will have an understanding and compassion for children with adverse childhood experiences and naturally practice through restorative approaches to developing positive behaviours across our school.
- Will have commitment, reliability, positivity and enthusiasm.
We can offer you:
- A happy and caring setting where all staff are supported to develop in their profession
- Support and positive working relationships with key staff so that you can fulfil your
- duties and responsibilities in this EYFS specific role.
- Well behaved children who love to learn
- A strong team who support all staff to achieve excellence in their individual roles
- A motivated school community that is proud of all that we achieve together
- A well-resourced school that embraces challenge
We value our school and positive working environment that upholds the principles and values of our Christian foundation firmly at the centre of all we do. You will be welcomed into a friendly, supportive team who work closely together, and you will be involved in providing inspiration to EYFS pupils through the development of exciting and engaging activities in all areas of learning.
We have an embedded ethic of determination and high expectations so that children learn to tackle challenge and succeed with resilience and perseverance. We celebrate all achievements and promote the different routes and experiences children enjoy, to support them to succeed. We wrap this within a culture rooted in strong, positive relationships between everyone.
You will enjoy working within our thriving village school community with an excellent recent Ofsted inspection outcome. We have the most fabulous team of staff, children, parents and governors. We work together to ensure that our children achieve excellence within a rounded and full curriculum – they are equipped to achieve the dreams they aspire to as well as the futures of a world we don’t yet know.
