We are a single form entry primary school, educating children between the ages of 4 and 11 years. Situated in the village of Bulford, Wiltshire, we serve both military and local families and have strong connections with St Leonard’s Church. Supported by our strong Christian ethos, we insist on high standards of behaviour and respectful relationships. Our school is where futures are created and our staff make this a reality by delivering a curriculum based on active learning and real-life, first-hand experiences; helping students prepare for the next stage of their education as well as for their next stage of life. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of children, staff and parents;
  • Has a good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum;
  • Has the ability to plan termly/weekly/daily activities from a provided curriculum plan;
  • Is able to manage a team of hard-working nursery assistants;
  • Has at least a Level 3 qualification;
  • Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;
  • Is self-motivated dedicated and consistent;
  • Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
  • Is a strong team player, who can use their own initiative;
  • Can demonstrate leadership qualities and share good practice;
  • Has a positive and flexible attitude;
  • Can observe and record a child’s progress as well as plan exciting and stimulating activities for the EYFS;
  • Has a current First Aid or is prepared to undertake training.

We can offer the successful candidate:

  • An ambitious and vibrant place to work, with enthusiastic children and staff who are passionate about learning;
  • A workplace where everyone feels valued and supported;
  • Opportunities for training and progression;
  • The support of Acorn Education Trust, with excellent opportunities to work with experienced colleagues;
  • A supportive and clearly defined induction procedure.
