Nursery Manager/Wraparound Care Supervisor (Term Time Only) job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join Stowford School, which is part of Westcountry Schools Trust. Stowford School is a large, two-form entry school with an on-site nursery.

We are looking for a Nursery Manager/Wraparound Care Supervisor who is creative, flexible and enthusiastic with a strong knowledge of how to support learning and provide care for children aged 3 - 11 years. An Early Years qualification (NNEB, CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is essential.

The successful applicants should have:

  • a minimum of 2 years’ recent experience working in a pre-school/nursery setting, ideally in a senior practitioner or room-leader role/childcare experience working with children 3-11 years
  • excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance
  • knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities
  • a patient, calm and encouraging approach, with empathy and understanding of children under aged 3-11
  • the ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
  • effective team leadership and the ability to work as part of a team
  • excellent managerial, communication and organisational skills including IT
  • good numeracy/literacy skills
  • the ability to work on own initiative and be reliable, enthusiastic and flexible.
