Nursery Manager job summary

We are looking for a Nursery Manager to work in our EYFS setting. We are looking for someone positive, passionate, caring and enthusiastic and who can engage with children and inspire and motivate them to be the best they can be.

Role Purpose

To manage the nursery provision within the Academy, having responsibility for the wellbeing of the children entrusted to its care, including delivering a high standard of learning, development and care for the children.

To ensure the Nursery meets Ofsted and EYFS requirements at all times and that the nursery is run in accordance with legislative requirements and has in existence appropriate policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • Level 5 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
  • Paediatric First Aid trained or willing to undertake the training
  • Proven experience of working in an Early Years setting
  • Recent experience managing a nursery or as a Deputy in a similar setting
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, relevant statutory guidance and Ofsted requirements
  • Proven experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities for children
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with children and parents
  • Understanding of, and ability to comply with the requirements of safeguarding/Child Protection
