Early Years Learning Support Assistant / 1:1 Support
The Rushmere Park Academy is looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic member of staff to provide direct support for an SEN pupil, through the mid-morning period and into the early afternoon. We are committed to supporting the range of individual needs within our nursery, mainstream school and specialist resource provision and we therefore seek out adults who value equity and education for all children.
This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who would like to increase their experience of working in a fantastic school environment that supports pupils with a variety of needs. There may be an opportunity to increase the hours worked in future.
Key Duties
Develop nurturing and professional relationship with SEN pupil(s)
Support pupils to engage in both class and lunch time activities
Work as part of the wider staff team across the lunch period
Support pupils with activities outlined in their Individual Education Plan
Show an active understanding of the safeguarding issues associated with working in schools
The successful candidate will
Be friendly, energetic and enthusiastic team player
Have previous experience of working with children aged between 2 – 4
Be responsible and able to use initiative
Have an understanding of Autistic Spectrum Condition
Job Specifics
Start Date: Monday 4th November 2024
Salary: Advantage Schools 1-2 £22,483- £22,666 FTE. Actual pro rata £6,327- £6,379
Job Role: Fixed Term, 12months, Term-time + 5 INSET days. Part time, 12 hours per week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 10am-2pm
