Nursery Practitioner job summary

Duties as a Nursery Practitioner:

- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Provide personal care, including assisting with hygiene routines
- Observe and assess children's progress and communicate with parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications:

Essential:

Key skills in Maths & English minimum

A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Desirable:

Experience working in a nursery, preschool or early childhood setting

Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare qualification Level 2 or 3 (training can be undertaken for the right candidate).

Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education

Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
