Nursery Room Leader job summary

Are you a passionate and dedicated early years professional looking to take the next step in your career? Lightwater Village School is seeking a Nursery Room Leader to oversee the development and daily management of our nurturing and engaging nursery environment.

In this key role, you will ensure that children aged 2-5 thrive in a safe, caring, and stimulating setting, while building strong partnerships with parents, carers, and professionals. If you are committed to delivering high-quality teaching, implementing best practices, and fostering a love of learning, we would love to hear from you!

What we're looking for: 

  • Early Years Level 3 qualification
  • GCSE grade ‘C’ or above in Maths and English
  • Current paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Basic food hygiene certificate
  • Up to date safeguarding training
  • Strong teaching experience in Early Years with a clear understanding of current pedagogy
  • Experience working in a nursery or school setting
  • Experience managing and working within a team
  • Ability to establish and communicate clear standards and expectations
  • Ability to manage and develop resources to support child development
  • High standard of written and oral communication

The Details

Salary: £26,272 FTE

Pay Scale: Specialist Point 1

Actual Salary: £25,112.94

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm 40hrs a week (39 weeks incl. INSET)

Closing Date: Friday 27th June at 9.30am
