Nursery Teacher job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Nursery Teacher to become part of Cotton End Forest School, where early years education is a priority.

We are looking for an experienced teacher for our Nursery class from September 2025. The suitable candidate will need to have experience of early years development and a passsion for teaching young children.

This growing Primary School is dedicated to providing an engaging and nurturing learning environment where every child thrives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities
  • Foster a warm and supportive classroom environment
  • Support and manage other staff in the nursery
  • Encourage positive social interactions and emotional development
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support each child’s progress
  • Assess and track individual development and milestones
  • Ensure the well-being and safety of all children at all times

Essential criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) , EYT or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience in early years education
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for working with young children and helping them grow
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching
