Nursery Teacher job summary

All teachers are required to carry out the duties of a school teacher as set out in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions document. To offer all learners effective Early Years education in a stimulating environment, which provides equality of opportunity for all children. Treat children with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position. To deliver the EYFS as relevant to the age and ability group, other relevant initiatives, including ECM and the schools own practices. To work proactively and in collaboration and partnership with children, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies. Act within, the statutory frameworks, which set out their professional duties and responsibilities and in line with the duties outlined in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and Teacher Standards (2012). To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

Grove House Nursery School is within the London Borough of Ealing. We have a diverse population and work very closely with families and the local community. The school operates on a term time basis and we also run childcare for 48 weeks a year. We also have children's centre provision which enables us to work with families long before the children start in our nursery. Our staffing is made up of teachers, nursery nurses and nursery assistants.
