Nurture & Attendance Lead - Grade 9 job summary
About this Role
Do you want to make a difference to an incredible group of children in a fantastic community? Edward Feild Primary School has a wonderful opportunity for a Nurture & Attendance Lead to join us in September 2026. It's a new role for the school an one we are excited about the potential of.
We are a school that aspires to provide the best education it possibly can to all children. We have high aspirations of the school we want to be and support all of our staff to achieve their own potential. This was a fundamental reason behind our conversion to become part of the River Learning Trust (RLT) last year.
Our ideal candidate will:
- want to have a positive impact on the lives of all the children we work with
- be enthusiastic and committed
- be willing to be flexible and creative to suit the needs of the children
- add value to our friendly and hard-working team of staff
- be committed to their own professional development
- be creative and willing to step outside their comfort zone
We can offer:
- a supportive team to work with
- a wonderful wider school community
- high quality professional development with support from the RLT
- a commitment to your wellbeing and workload
- last but not least, our brilliant children!
Tours of the school are highly recommended. Please email office@efps.org.uk or call 01865 372268 to arrange. If you would like to have a confidential conversation with Scott Lewis, headteacher, about the role, prior to application, then please email headteacher@efps.org.uk or telephone 01865 372268. We have no set expectations on prior experience - we're looking for the best fit for our school.
The deadline for applications is midnight on Thursday 17th May. Interviews will take place in the following week.
The school reserves the right to consider and interview candidates ahead of the closing date if appropriate. An offer may be made to an exceptional candidate in this instance.
Education has the power to change lives, communities and society for the better. At RLT we believe that we can achieve more for our pupils, trainees, staff and communities by working together rather than alone. Schools in RLT are united by a common belief in the benefits of working together, and by our commitment to shared principles.
OUR VISION is for our schools and SCITT to improve rapidly, continuously and sustainably: to be better faster together.
OUR ‘WHY?’ is that children and young people ‘only get one go’ in school and therefore as part of RLT we aim to ensure the best possible ‘go’ for our pupils.
OUR ‘HOW?’ is through the highest support and challenge for our schools and each other, underpinned by our principles.
Our employees benefit from a wide variety of support including extensive continuing professional learning and development opportunities, wellbeing and staff networks and access to Defined Benefit Pension Schemes (TPS and LGPS) for all staff. For more information on what it is like to work for the Trust, and the benefits you could access, please see our “Working in RLT” guide.
